The environment, especially water resources and the biodiversity richness of Macedonia, presents one of the major values and potentials for the future development of the country. The protection and conservation of environmental features, the establishment of adequate infrastructure, the provision of quality public services, and a sustainable use of natural resources are all crucial for saving Macedonia’s fragile environment and improving living conditions.
The objectives of the construction of the wastewater treatment plant in Gevgelija are: improvement of the water quality in the river Vardar, safe irrigation downstream, fostering trans-boundary cooperation with Greece, assistance for Macedonian government to fulfill the requirements of the EU water related directives and international regulation.

Design and build of the water line of Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) Gevgelija with a capacity of 30'000 Population Equivalent (PE).
