Supply and Installation of Equipment and Related Civil Works LOT 1 & LOT-2. In the frame work of Khujand water supply improvement programme (phase III) WWTP Khujand, Tajikistan Generally, urban water supply and sanitation in Tajikistan is in bad condition due to the lack of maintenance since the break-up of the Soviet Union. EBRD and SECO started cooperation on water projects in Tajikistan in 2004 with the Khujand Water Supply Project Phase I. The City of Khujand (population 167’000) is the second largest city of Tajikistan. The project phase I was completed in 2008 and yielded promising results. Therefore, the EBRD and the SECO approved a second phase in 2009. Thanks to these two phases, the conditions of the water supply systems have improved substantially, while the wastewater sector is still in a very bad state therefore EBRD started the programme Khujand water supply improvement programme phase III which includes 3 Lot’s and the contract for LOT-1 & LOT-2 is awarded to our company FELA Planungs AG from Switzerland for Rehabilitation of existing Wastewater Treatment plant (WWTP) LOT-1 and Rehabilitation of Pond System and Auxiliary Structures LOT-2. The existing WWTP was built in the 1970’s. The mechanical and biological units are out of operation for more than 10 years. All electro-mechanical equipment has either been removed or is completely dilapidated and non-functional.Expected results after implementation of the project will be a fully functioning Waste Water Treatment Plant and the impact of the project will improve living conditions and economic opportunities for the population of the city of Khujand. DWSP Delcevo

Delcevo Water Supply Project (DWSP) Period: April 2021 – December 2024 Location: City of Delcevo, North Macedonia Task: Turnkey Construction of Water Treatment Plant and associated Facilities. Design and built. Delcevo Water Supply Project (DWSP) Delcevo is a small city in the Northeast of North Macedonia. The population of Delcevo with nearly 12’000 inhabitants stayed stagnant during the last 20 years. The population of the surrounding villages decreased slightly leading to a total population of 14’500 inhabitants in the service area of the water utility «PUC Bregalnica». With an additional water use of small industries, the connection of two villages Dzvegor and Gabrovo, the future water consumption is assumed to come up with 16’500 population equivalents. Today an existing water supply system supplies the population with potable water. The water resources are lake water from the artificial Loshana dam completed in 2006 with a maximum reservoir capacity of about 1.1 m. cubic meters. A few groundwater wells serve as additional drinking water resource. The water from the dam is treated in a production plant with a maximum capacity of 60 l/s and consists of a flocculation step, two deep bed pressure sand filters, one granular activated carbon pressure filter and a final disinfection step with chlorine dioxide. Currently, the treatment plant is operated with 30 l/s only. A1:  Retrofitting of 1st pressure break chamber below Loshana dam A2: New 2nd pressure break chamber A3: Water Treatment Plant and Administrative Building A4: Access road B1: Groundwater well field Trabotiviste B2: Groundwater well field Delcevo C3: Transport main from WTP to Delcevo C4: Water tank «Chuka» in Delcevo C5: Water tank «Dzvegor» in Delcevo CO-OO6: Flow Meter Main Line A3-Delecvo D: Solar power plant Client: Financed By: Consultant:

Bulk Flow Meters Project Khujand,Tajikistan

Bulk Flow Meters Project Khujand,Tajikistan Period: December 2017 – June 2018 Location: Khujand, Tajikistan Task: Supply and installation of bulk flow meters and ancillary equipment in Khujand. Bulk Flow Meters Project Khujand,Tajikistan Nevertheless of large investments done in the past years, a large part of the water supply infrastructure in Khujand is old and in bad shape. Infrastructural deficiencies lead to big water losses and partially to contamination of the drinking water. The water supply of several parts of the city is not reliable and running water is only available a few hours a day.The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) together with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) started a programme to rehabilitate the dilapidated water supply infrastructure. The Khujand Water Supply Improvement Programme (Phase III) includes the supply and installation of bulk flow meters to be installed on the main water pipes near the pumping stations. In addition 19 pressure sensors will be installed at strategic points. All flow-and pressure sensors will permanent communicate data to a central SCADA system. After putting into operation the customer will have a great overview of the main water supply regarding flow, flow direction and pressure. By analyzing the data, detection of water losses will be easier. All above will be a step forward to reduce the non revenue water! Supply and Installation of: 12 Bulk Flow Meters up to DN 800, installed in the existing water network with GPRS / G3 Modems 19 Digital pressure transmitters with GPRS / G3 Modems Ancillary equipment like valves, flanges DN 200 till DN 800 Central dispatcher center with SCADA system for all data from flow meters and pressure transmitters Principal: Financed By: Consulatant:
